THIRSTY!

Monday, April 23, 2007

Almost everyone around me has schooltime these days. And all I keep thinking is how glad I am to be done. I'm sick of that way.
I did not work today. Instead I went to Bob Evans with Emily. Then I smiled for her camera, relived some personal history, watched the end of "White", bought and drank "Hot Damn!", watched "Red", and am trying to paint. Or draw. Or really just be creative in that way. I'm not sick of that way.
I haven't had a post that actually said anything about what I do for awhile. I work either 7-4 or 1-10, occassionally 7-3 or 2-10. If it's my saturday to work I am there 7-8 and sunday 9-6. Even though I forget everyone else's schedule, please do not forget mine. Don't do evil.
I am reading The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano. It is possibly the strangest book I've ever read as far as structure goes. The first 130 pages are journal entries of Juan Garcia Madero. Which I was enjoying. The middle of the book is 20 years in the lives of a dozen other people, none of which are Madero, or anyone I had read of yet. The book is about 600 pages long. A big reason that I am reading it is the feel and smell of the pages. The writing is good too.
Em and I leave for San Diego May 11th. It will be the best way.
