Hanging out with Mr (Chris) Cooper . Co-oo-oo-oo-oooPer!

That's how much fuck fish. Seriously.

Last night I decided for a second or two that I would be a writer. But now that I'm home from work I am not writing. Again, here's the best scenario I can muster. I get a ghostwriter who does all the writing for me and I, the new literary wunderkind - at age 25 - live the sweet life. Signing books, laying around, drinking Mango Lassis all day, starting literary movements. I have no idea what I am saying. Honestly. Anyway, I guess I would get someone like Michael Chabon or Thomas Pynchon, maybe Salinger, to do the writing. I'd tell them, listen Mikey, Tommy, Jerome David, I was thinking I wouldn't mind you writing a couple pulitzers with my name. The pay off is that you get to know you are good and not just your name. I get to lay around and drink Mango Lassis with the occasional thumbprint cookie. Whaddya say? And then I'd force them with knives and scary things after they scoffed. I'd say, "I'll scoff your guts up and burn them!"

Yikes.

My body hurts. And I like naps.

Ok I'm back and I had a great time. Although parking was a bigtime suck. Colin Meloy was excellent. I ate lots of food. This museum made me a little depressed. Body Worlds made me anxious, because I just sat around waiting to go. And alone, because I was the only one who didn't think it was fascinating. I also figured out that the reason I don't care for traveling is because when people talk about it I feel alone. So in turn, traveling, especially 'world travel', makes me feel isolated and a little depressed. That's my recap, pal.

50 more pages left.

I better slow down and savour.

weekend in philadelphia

Off to Philadelphia. Goodbye friends.

I'm working on another blog. I've decided that I would rather stay at home and read and occasionally write to earn my moneys. So I am going to do that, I guess. This blog will help.

I work early so I must go to sleep. AKA read more of The Amber Spyglass. Right now Lyra and Will are just entering the Land of the Dead. I know there was this movie called Land of the Dead. And, you know what, I don't care.

In other news, Mike went bowling tonight. Something he would never do and yet did.

Big question

Off today. Em made kick ass vegetable soup. Mia came over and had some and we took some to a sick friend named Vin. It won't stop snowing outside.

Here's my question: what's the deal with make-up? You've got powder, blush, concealer, foundation, etc. But couldn't you conceal things with any of them? Or get pink powder that would make you look like your blushing? And why would you want to blush.

Help!

I've really fallen behind. Yesterday was Emma Lee Faye's birthday. I got her a banjo, even though he is missing. I managed to find him. We watched Teen Witch, which none of us have not seen before. Well, almost. And we also watched The Chumscrubber which was a waste of my life for however long it was. Afterwards Kim, James, Em and I talked about Christianity for about 2 or 3 hours. I'm not sure how long actually, but it was like 5 am when I went to bed. I really enjoyed it - hence the fact that I stayed up. Me. Crazy. You should have seen me: all staying up and crazy. I really have to go - stop keeping me.

Wilco's One by One

One by one the teardrops fall as I write you

One by one my words come falling on the page

One by one my dreams are fading in the twilight

One by one my schemes are fading fast away

One by one the flowers fading in my garden

One by one the leaves are falling from the trees

One by one my hopes are vanished in the clouds clear

One by one like snowflakes melting in the breeze

One by one my hair is turning gray

One by one my dreams are fading fast away

One by one I read your letters over

One by one I lay them all away

One by one the days are slipping up behind you

One by one the sweetest days of life go by

One by one the moments stealing out behind you

One by one she'll come and find not you or I

One by one I hear the soft words that you whispered

One by one I feel your kisses soft and sweet

One by one I hope you'll say the words to marry

One by one to one by one forever be

gogogogogo

I have to go somewhere and work. It's called work. And I'm gonna be late so I'm just typing as fast as my fingers will let me and saying the first thing I think of. I was pissed about two days ago. You may have heard the story. It involves 14 hours. Yesterday wasn't all that bad. Watched a movie about Guthrie and Billy Bragg and Wilco. Ampersand explosions! And I also watched "Dot the i" with Em. There are two cute people in this.

Tomorrow morning I have to get up so very early so I cannot do anything tonight.

I hate my life two days ago, but don't hate it so much right now.

I am almost finished with "The Subtle Knife". Don't judge a book by it's cover. Especially if the cover has kids with cats and there's purple.

Bye.

I prefer the half windsor, if you must know.

I guess 'JK' stands for Just Kidding? Anyway, I am off to work after a three day break, which was perfect. My stomach feels pretty raw and my neck is starting to feel that way as well (because of the dress shirt). I work until 4 and then I am coming home to read, read, read. No more spending money, no more bullshit faces (you had to see that coming), and no more people coming over - well just tonight. Come Wednesday night - we better have a reservation. I mean I'm not usually hungry on wednesday nights but I'd like to have a reservation.

I hope you all have a good day.

Carpe Blogem

Christa goes home today which is sad. I really liked this weekend. Getting to see her was unexpected, but just what I had hoped for. I thought it might be awkward just because we haven't seen eachother in awhile and I didn't know if there'd be things to talk about. But it wasn't the case at all. I already miss her.

So this morning we are going to eat at Pamela's which I am actually not in the mood for. But I'm not in the mood for anything. I don't mind. After we drop Christa off Emily and I are going to Ikea, even though we spent a ton of money this weekend and we probably shouldn't. Especially since Em is going to be missing a week's pay and then only getting a portion of what she made the following week. C'est la vie. Carpe Diem. I had a discussion with Em and Christa about that phrase and how I hate that it is played off of all the time. Carpe noctem. Carpe Ballgackys.

I've got to get dressed now so that we can leave. Bye for ever.

Dear TourdeTour,

Last night: party. But no Kim - stupid helping sick people job. Just kidding. So we had this party, which Nico refers to as a purr-tee. It was good times. Christa got to meet a lot of our friends and I think she had a good time. Aaron was a drunk, so was Mike - a drunk. Sorry guys. I wasn't because I wanted better beer. Sorry Em. I was glad that Brian and Jason came over, it was good to see them. I was glad everyone was there. Especially my Oregon friend Christa B. Who goes by Christy as well, but not by me.

This morning: hot cinnamon rolls, coffee with cream and good stories. Mike just left and soon Emily, Christa, and I will be gone. Off to Shady Side (or is it Shadyside?) and then the South Side and Bloomfield, etc. Then maybe Ethiopian food, then Club Cafe for The You.

Tomorrow: brunch at our place. Please come. We will try to make crepes - maybe. But I want eggs fried hard with bacon and turkey sausage. So come one, come all!

Love,
Jason

P.S. I finished The Golden Compass this morning. Holycrapholycrapholycrap... Next it's The Subtle Knife, which has an awkward-looking cover. After that it's The Amber Spyglass. Then it's The Great Gatsby and something by Dickens and then, we'll see. Probably some McSweeny's/Eggers stuff. Just because I've always wanted to.

P.P.S. Emily is done with work!!!

it happens. compost.

Some questions: Why do people not care? Why do I care? Why do I eat so much crumb cake? Why do I grow hair so quickly upon my face?

Ok. So I saw this amazing bumpersticker. It said COMPOST HAPPENS. That's amazing. Beth saw one that said What would Scooby Doo? That is really amazing. I don't care what you say dude. Yeah du.

Now Mike is over and I want to visit with him. Wait, there he is.

They stole it!

Hi. Today we clean. Today we take down tree. Today we shower, precious. Today we do laundry, and want to shave but may not get to, my love. We read a bit and ate tuna and chocolate and listened to Bjork sing 'sleepyhead' and liked it. Yes, precious, my love. Bjork is a cute thing, especially when she dances by oscillating her head and shoulders, with her hands at her side, her fingers out like sunrays. But 'you are gonna have to find out for yourself.'

i) Russian Christmas dinner.
ii) A gathering at my place with cutting shears.
iii) Fall asleep amongst the multitude, like usual - but we have an excuse, precious, my love: we worked at 5 am today. 'And that doesn't taste so nice does it precious?'

Dear God, help Emily find a job.

Share the loooaad.

Emily is taking a long shower even though she said it would be short. So my day is shot. You know what I say to that? "Now you're messin' with a - SON OF A BITCH!" Yeah, that's right. She brought home this before and after photo of her teeth with a picture of her smiling above each and she looks so cute. I mean I'm still a son of a bitch and she is now messin' with me because she is taking a long shower, but she is quite cute. the pirate's life is just for me, sorry.

Hey. I just got back from work and am listening to The Mountain Goats. Nico is in my lap and he's purring. Don't be a pervert. Em and I watched Willy Wonka last night and it was pure shit. I felt so incredilby awkward. Which, incidentally, is how I felt watching the original as well. So kudos to them. I'm going to the mall soon to return some things and get some that I want. They call it an 'exchange'. I will stop by Chick Fil-A, I guess. See that little one. What I want to do tonight is have the dishes clean themselves and read all of His Dark Materials Trilogy without finishing it. Only because finishing a book makes me sad, but at the same time, devouring a book feels amazing. And I want Nico to come to the mall with me.

So to recap: Tonight I am going to fall asleep reading a book.

the pirate's life is for me...AND YOU!

First blog of the New Year, by anyone. I'm the first. New Year's resolutions, you ask? i) Quit buying cigarettes; ii) Well, I want to quit; iii) But it's a little too resolute and cliche; iv) Make tons of cash moneys. And I'd like to get in rock hard shape - like a boner. I want to be a boner. Today Emily and I have to clean like it ain't no thing. I mean we have to clean. Do you want to help? Of course not. But we have to. But first we go out for breakfast. I think Pamela's. And I don't even work tomorrow. So today is going to have that carefree, I-don't-work-tomorrow-so-I-have-nothing -hanging-over-my-head, sort-of feeling. Woo hoo...hey hey - THE PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME!
