I'm taking the bus to work today so that Em has a car to use once she gets home. So I don't have much time here. Tonight I am meeting with Jon and Dan about the movie, which I am excited for. I think things will go well this summer. I mean, I'm trying to be positive. Anyone remember the band Good Clean Fun? They were posi-vegan-core. Kind of funny too. They had albums covers that mocked Emo, mocked hard core, etc. Good stuff.

Reading some Chekov. I heard Carver was America's Chekov, so of course I had to see why. I read one story and I do see why. Also reading Cheever's Falconer, which is about addiction and prison life. Kind of into it, kind of don't care about it. But mostly into it. It's tricky.

Also hoping to read V by Pynchon, but its highly doubtful. Bye dudes.

It's done. I have all the scripts in my hand. Who wants one?

So I am back as you can see. I mean, no one blogs while they are away. Though I thought about it. It was a good trip. My favorite part was seeing Seth's warehouse. It was just gigantic and there's a bigger one in Toledo. And also one in Massachusetts - I think a little bit smaller. I will always be impressed with Seth for doing what he did. I was cranky a lot of the time, imagine that. Finished Carver's "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love," a book a short stories. Very enjoyable. I did a lot of sudoku. Did a bunch of edits on the script, now I have to edit this old version I have on my laptop. Which will take some time. Saw Page France. Seth and Kim liked the music and I was glad for that. Teresa and I have a crush on the girl who sings in Page France. What are you gonna do? Ate good food: Mesquite Grilled Chicken, three kinds of Potato Salad, Mussels, Scallops, Crab Cakes. Goodness. Got this Pom Tea in a glass that is the best design of any glass bottle ever. Period. Sold by design yet again.

Anyway, that's enough to give you a picture of my trip to Baltimore. I work at noon. However I do not work tomorrow or monday. Anyone up for grilling?

bloggen

here's the thing. i got drunk at work today. yeah. totally drunk. customer said something, i dont remember what, and i said, 'yeah, I already had him.' some other customer said, i dont know what, and i said, 'douchen.' he asked me what that was supposed to mean and i said, 'its german for douchen.'

I don't know why I told you that lie. It was just a dirty lie. We played a tight show last night. I had a good time. But it was late and empty. Our friends were there: thank you all!, but still, late and relatively empty. Not too good a combination. Usually bands just starting out play to a packed house every night. WHAAAT?

Watching 'Rear Window'. What of it? Emily was super productive today. Kind of freaked out about it. Not really at all, but yeah. It's reeaaalll scawy.

Megan and Beth are away this weekend in the most boring state: New York. What was Old York like? Probably a big yawn fest. I miss Beth and her scrap book, and Megan and her laugh. I was going to say hip-hop dancing but I've never seen her do that. So that would have been a lie (see foremost paragraph).

Unlike most blogs I will end with this: I gotta g-o!

Whenever someone says something unbelievable to Wayne, this guy I work with, he says this: "If you believe that I got some swamp land in Arizona to sell you." He says it a lot.

Wayne has long hair, three kids, looks younger but is about 30 or 31 years old. Maybe older, I don't know. All of his kids have something wrong with them. One of them has this rare disease that has not been documented in the annals of medicine or whatever. That would be a fun read, the annals of medicine. Anyway, Wayne is certainly a character. I'll probably write a story with him as a main influence for a character some day. Which is another way of saying that he will be in a story I write. But when I say some day, I mean who knows when. Not any time soon that's for sure. My stomach hurts and I dont want to write a story today and I just want to read. Oh and maybe watch a movie and get laid. Yeah thats right. Get laid. Because that is how I talk. I talk about p's and c's and d's all the time.

Today is Mother's Day. My Mum is in the Bahamas getting some soul waves. Taking it up a notch on the life vibe. You know what I'm jiving? Sorry.

So I will be celebrating Mother with my mum-in-law and eating Chinese. Birth:Mother::Boner:Father. That seems about right.

What show was that with Boner? Charles in Charge? Growing Pains? That was a weird time.

I am late for work but my blog is getting tired of that post. I have a new drum set, sort of. Thank you CLC. I put new heads on it and it sounds really good. Who would have thought? Anyway, it's a real surprise and I'm siked. Oh yeah, work.

I'm reading these stories by Larry Brown from a collection called Big Bad Love. And I'm loving them. He makes me want to write. He makes me want to read. He sort of makes me want to give up on writing. Yet, at the same time, he makes me want to never give up.

There's something about my life that I don't like. Maybe it's work. Maybe it's that I never go out. Well that can't be it. I feel like I have no time to myself. Yet, I live inside my head all day long. I want an entire week to read and do what I want.

I started smoking again in case you didn't know. It doesn't help most of the time. Most of the time its just neutral, just something I do. Other times it hits me and I feel relaxed and in tune with the moment. The breathing and all. And I always smoke outside so there's the whole nature thing. Everything Zen - I don't think so. Gavin does not believe that Elvis is dead. Kill me please.

I get so stressed out at work. I feel anxious and wired. My hands always feel like they are shaking. Sometimes its just my imagination, but other times they actually are shaking. Its not noticeable, but I can't make them stop sometimes. So I have a cigarette. It seems to help. It seems to kill me too. And then see these people with the oxygen tanks, or my Aunt Suzie who had chemo and got about 40 pounds too skinny - all because she smoked. And then there's my Dad. I once underlined the word emphyzema on a carton of his cigarettes. And he had to have gum replacement because of smoking. But there's nothing worse than a smoker who whines about how bad it is, and how he shouldn't. If you're going to smoke, you ought to just do it and not feel ashamed.

I stop talking now.

Back from Northern Carolinas

Which would it be: Slip n Slide, Costanza's balls, or Raw Horse Meat?
