America, fuck yeah!

Tonight I watched Team America with Dustin and Steve (Lottie only watched a little bit). There are some really funny parts. I like the song "Freedom isn't Free." Something about 'a buck o' five'. I also got to see these old pictures that Steve had - pictures of our trip to Penn State, pictures of young Chaz and Steve. It was a good night. I definitely ate too much pizza today - like 10 pieces or so. We had Papa Johns and I had Fox's when I was at work. 11-9, it ain't no trip to Cleveland. Beth would be proud, I guess - not that I quoted BottleRocket, but that I ate all of that pizza.

There's this really funny part in Team America when Nico and Henry show up. You ought to see it. Here I am assuming you didn't. Maybe you did already - what do I know?

Emily is watching this weird movie. Not so much weird as wee-ear-'d.

I do not work tomorrow, I will sleep in tomorrow, I will have no plans tomorrow, I will take things slow - tomorrow.

Sorry about the last email. Pretty 'uncouth' of me. My apartment smells like garlic - very strong garlic. I opened many windows but I still smell it. I work at 12 and I want to balance the check book, or cheque book if you will, and do a few other things before work. I always work nights and it is starting to bother me. Not so much the act of working at night, but what I have to do at CVS at night. During the day there is at least two managers, sometimes three, but at night there is only one. Makes it very hard and stressful to accomplish tasks. I could just not worry about it and go with flow - get whatever I am able to get done and that's that; but I have the hardest time doing that. An actual aversion to laziness when I am at work. I would be such a good worker at any job I think. I really do take my job, whatever that job may be, seriously. Geez, I just can't shut up about my job. "I know, you just won't shut up about it."

Ok, which band name do you like better: electrorock or the whole v? It's a toss up, really.

In which I make a joke of my pathetic life.

In true blog fashion I have decided to write about how I hate my life. At least I hate my life when I am at work. It's getting so old because I have been saying it for so long and will probably never actually leave. Soon I will grow a huge gut, a bigger one than I already have, and develop the catch phrase: "People are stupid"; which I will interchange with "I hate people." With luck it will turn into my whole schtick. Managers will say of me: "He's not prejudiced, he hates them all the same." And they will laugh, that retail laugh. The laugh you hear as they take their 20 oz of Pepsi to the front register, grabbing a pack of Peanut Butter and Cheese crackers along the way, or some beef jerkey. They'll pay with a debit card and ask for tape, as they wrap their receipt around the bottle. And I will have perpetual stubble on my face, and smoke menthol cigarettes. That'll be my life. And it's only a little funny because it's already happening. But now I must sleep - I work at 7.

I felt like I was dying.

I had this dream that I was back in Oregon. I think with Joel and one or two other friends, though I can't think of them now. I was under the impression that no one would be there, student-wise, but that was not the case; they had 12 days left even though it was clearly summer and the regular semester ends in December. It was so hard to be there, it felt like I was dying. Which is probably how it would feel to go back. We were all going to stay in our own cabin, which was a weird idea - so lonely. I was going to be in Meg's because I always liked her set-up. There was no one in her apartment and it was clean. Then I went over to the one I had stayed in and there were all of these kids there, and stuff everywhere. The one thing I remember is a piece of paper that read "sex" on the fridge. So I wanted to get out of there, didn't like it at all, and we stepped out onto the deck and all of these other kids start walking down the hill towards the bunkhouse. And one of the students was Jo-nathan. He had long hair. He was friends with this hispanic kid, and then all of these kids went into Meg's old apartment and started pushing dishes to the back of the cabinet, as fast and hard as they could. Then I thought I saw Sam, one of the professors, and his wife in a dragon costume, the one where one person is the head and front feet and the other the back feet. Only her head was sticking out at the top. When I got there it wasn't Sam at all. Then I was at the steps of this stone building that does not exist on the actual campus and I was getting information on the school, gathering pamphlets. Jim Titus came up behind me and asked something along the lines of, "Finding what you're looking for?" And I smiled thinking he knew and remembered me, but I could tell he had no clue who I was. It was such a weird and painful dream. I don't think I could ever go back to Oregon. But I hope to someday nonetheless.

Happy Thanksgiving, Blog! Today Emily and I go to Seven Springs with my fam-damn-ily. Then back to her house, then to our place for dessert. And, you won't believe it, but our place is clean as clean can be. And I helped. I am thankful for all of my friends, whom I would list but am scared of inadvertently failing to mention someone. And I am thankful for my family, my extended family, my "in-lawed" family and the various pets that inhabit their homes. I am thankful for my little wife, who I consider my bestest friend, and who I forgot to mention at first - I take her for granted too often. Lastly, I am thankful for my shoes.

a quick word with you

Emily and I went to Del's again last night. It was excellent. But I wish I had got a different entree. What I got was good but what I was going to get would have been better. Then Em and I went to Kiva Han for a spell, but they didn't have any. Ha - get it? We spent the rest of the night at James and Kim's watching Equilibrium. It was a nice change of pace to go to their house. That may be the last time I am there, unless I get to help them move.

Today, I have an interview - so I've got to get ready. Wish me balls. And I would say that.

D-D-D-DANDY!

cri de coeur
What I am about to tell you has nothing to do with the above picture or film from which the picture came. As someone once said, was it Samuel L. Jackson in Jurassic Park?, Hold on to your butts! I went to the Carnegie today for the first time in months. I'm still plowing my way through Anna, sometimes with my feet dug in, but moving on nonetheless. I'm on page 600, if you must know. But I decided I needed something on the side - you know, a la carte. I thought the library opened at 12 on sundays, but it's 1. Apparently a lot of other people thought that: there was about 40 people waiting to get in! I was on the verge of saying to everyone, "What, are they giving away free books?" I'm such a dork. Which, according to this website, makes me very very gay. I came in with a list and ended up, as expected, betraying the list, like Brutus. My sister is reading Julius Caesar by the way. Here's what I got: Benjamin Kunkle's Indecision, E. Annie Proulx's The Shipping News and Bad Dirt: Wyoming Stories 2, Marek Van Der Jagt's The Story of My Baldness, Charles D'Ambrosio's "The Point"; and I got these CDs: Neil Young's Greendale and Silver and Gold, a collection of early Elvis songs, Billy Bragg and The Blokes' England, Half English, and Yo La Tengo's Painful. How many of these books will I read? Hopefully more than one, but I do think I will read Indecision because it looks very promising. And all of these CDs will go onto the laptop. mwahahaha...
Family House has been very, and this is the word I've used to describe my day to 4 or 5 people, uneventful. I think it works.
I'm out of here very shortly. I plan to continue reading. So, please, get off my case.

Back and Forth. Forever.

I found this on Miranda July's (see below picture) blog. What you see below is from Brandon Ratcliffe, the little kid from Me and You and Everyone We Know. It's really cute. There's more like it on her blog, go read and smile!

Ok when my mom told me about what a blog was I didn't really understand that good, then she told me it was were I put down my feelings and get to talk how I wanted. I thought it was so super cool because I like to talk. Then I was about to eat a Reese's peanut butter egg and I said what is more important, chocolate or writing, and I said writing so here I am! Well actually I am talking and my mom is typing, because I am not that good of a typer but I am learning about computer at school in computer class so I am getting better. Kind of like Robby was typing in the movie that is what I do sometimes, but I mostly play computer games.
Oh and today we learned at school about Mother Nature it was Earth Day and I got to release butterflies since I was the helper today at school.
I am so excited today I saw my name was in the Washington Post, and I found out about the movie being in France. At first I thought the movie was going to be like in French talking, but then my mom said it was not it just like going to be shown in English just at a really big movie festival like when we went to Utah. I am so happy for Ms. Miranda. She said she was going to Chicago and that is where I am from and in Chicago I lived in Highland Park. I wish I could go there to see Ms.Miranda. She is so lucky she is going to all the places that I like and my puppy Teddy is learning better he's just a little wild and only sometimes barks and Scruffy my other dog is laying under the computer table and I think I need to go now and practice my piano and violin. But I was thinking maybe while Ms. Miranda is in Chicago she should go and take a walk in the park or go to Navy Pier and eat at Bubba Gump's that is my favorite place in Chicago.
Ok and this is to you Ms. Miranda, I hope you have fun in Chicago and you are so lucky you get to see yourself all of this many times in the movie and I wish I could see it like a million times... well ok I am going to eat my chocolate now, I miss you and can you tell me if it was like hot or cold in Chicago and maybe my dad will see you since he lives there but he is coming to LA next weekend for his birthday and me and mom have surprises for him. Ok chocolate time.....

Hey guess what? David Denby may have been right, now that I've re-read his article on "Walk the Line." You should read it for yourself.
This morning I got coffee at The Forest Hills Coffee Company on Ardmore. To the left of the register hangs a chalkboard which displays quotes for each day/week. Right now it reads: "A pedestrian is a person whose kid is home from college - Anonymous." I just don't get it. So your kid comes home and you go for walks? Or you're bored? The simplest things throw me off.
I then went to Panera and ate a Spinach and Artichoke Souffle, which I've ate before. Or is it 'eaten before'? Grammar, ha! I also got a cinnamon crunch bagel to go, if you must know. Then, here I will tell you a secret, I went to CVS and bought twerpz and twizzlers for the weekend, oh and water.
Damn it, now you know too much.
So, what's my plan for this weekend you ask? To read and blog, which is totally f'd up. I'll read some Esquire and some New Yorker and some Anna. My days here at Family House are numbered. And I' m glad for some reason. I know this job is sweet - how I get paid to write this sentence and ones like it all weekend. But I'd rather be home sleeping, or doing this ,with Emily and Nico and my slippers and v-necks and Arrested Development. Even though this job is easy and unbelievable, it's still time away from home; i.e. it's still work. I will be glad to only have one job, and to think that I will soon get 2 to 3 days off a week. And more money. Yes, to think. That's what I want to do with my life; there I've figured it out. I want to think for a living.

...just to watch him die.

Wow. This is an amazing movie. And the craziest thing about it is, I now have a crush on Reese Witherspoon. How could I betray myself like that? But I did. This is a must-see. Screw David Denby in the New Yorker. He must have seen another movie thinking it was "Walk the Line" or something. He was so off it was funny. When we came home Emily fell right asleep which was awesome because she, like her sister, has not been able to sleep much recently. And me, unlike myself, could not fall asleep. I read this article on C.S. Lewis that made me feel funny. He apparently was into sadomasochism. That's just not something I wanted to know. Not at all. And neither did you, but I had to pass it on. Like how Colleen, my mother-in-law, or Cindy at Chick Fil-A has to pass on stories of death and murder. Why? I guess it's just this thing we do - I don't know. By the way, don't delay, go see this movie today. Dude, I am such a good rhymer. It's awesome how I need to go to work but keep typing. And only because the text hasn't gone below the picture yet - but it probably has a long time ago for all I know. Get off my back!

In which I give away the new Harry Potter plot.

So, we saw the new Harry Potter last night in which Voldemort joins the marching band and Harry finally asks Cindy out. Hermione and Sam eat taters and find romance. Seriously, it was my favorite one in the series thus far. And I still have no intention of reading them. Sorry dudes. Last night I was in a very crabby mood and didn't care to come out of it. I didn't feel like talking, laughing or smiling - not one bit. The weird thing about it is, I dont feel bad about it, it's just the mood I was in, oh well.

I could hear out of my left ear this morning until a minute ago when I put my finger inside it to itch it.

Ah, it just opened again. My ear, so indecisive.

Tonight at midnight Emily and I are going to be awesomes. You know why? We are going to see "Walk the Line" at midnight. Any takers? I guess you'd have to have balls, which none of our friends seem to be in the possession of. Ouch.

If you say prayers, pray for Emily's hands to heal. If you don't, could you start? That's my advice/request.

Medical.

I can't hear out of my left ear. Why? I am drinking sweet coconut Thai tea and its all right. Emily's still asleep as I found out from reading her blog that she was up until 4 or 5. That crazy girl. I was out, as usual, quite early.

Last night I had to take an on-line test for CVS, in order to get promoted. It was more-or-less just a formality, but if I did poorly I won't get promoted - so not really just a formality. There was 20 pages of personality/customer service questions. Those are so difficult. Its not easy to know what they are looking for. One I remember asked: You like to stand in the middle of a large crowd: a) strongly disagree; b) disagree; c)agree; d) strongly agree. I think I put disagree, because its the truth. But I can't figure out what they wanted on that one.

Jason the ASSistant Manager. Raking in a cool 30k. Raking in a not so cool 45-60 hour work week. Wearing a dress shirt and tie. Having to say I'm an Assistant Manager at CVS, when people ask me what I do. An answer I never thought I'd have to give. But, as the saying goes, shit happens. And I did it for, as Beth would say, shits and giggles. Ha!

Why am I so tired? Does anyone know? I'm tired of being tired.

A list of what hurts

1. My throat
2. My back
3. My stomach
4. My balls

I've been taking lots of Airborne, though their throat lozenges are crap. I tried Ricola, but it was bad as well. I like Fisherman's Friend. I just had some. The worst part of it all is that I cannot hear out of my left ear. It sucks.

On a brighter note, I think I will have Boston Market for lunch - if my stomach feels up for it.

Today's advice: Be the light (the world is your lantern).

eh-em, BALLS

Finished an article on Russian translators, read a page of Anna, made Emily upset, apologized, balanced the check book, wrote out 4 bills, talked about Bustass and quoted him many, many times, blew my nose.

In this article there were two references to balls. Both were supposed improvements on the translation. One was on Brothers Karamazov and written in the margine by an Oxford don. It read, eh-em, "balls." No reason. I spit all over the page it was so funny. Some other translator thought this was a good translation: "Kitty likes balls." But she only liked going to balls - you know, dances - gala events.

Now I must make Emily a PB 'n J. And shower. And rock the skins.

Go out and be somebody. That's my adivce.

Does not exist take an exit

The new Sun Kil Moon album, which is basically a covers album of a few choice Modest Mouse songs, is a hard one to listen to for a fan of the band. On first listen I was kind of uneasy about it. I didn't hate it or love it, but I was swaying towards the first. When I took a ride to Hollywood Video, I gave it a second try. Now I'm into it and have it on repeat. I've even got some other folks into it. What Mark Kozelek has done with these songs is quite remarkable actually. He has translated the music into the genre of folk, or better, into the realm of beauty. I was thinking, if he had used his own words, it would be his own and no one would know. But he's kept the words - now I know what Isaac was singing - and gave the songs a unique quality. I prefer his version of "Never Ending Math Equation" and "Exit does not Exist." Kozelek must have such a high appreciation for Modest Mouse to make the songs so absolutely perfect and beautiful. And until I heard this Sun Kil Moon album, I really hadn't thought of Isaac Brock's lyrics as beautiful, or touching, or vulnerable. Go, buy, download, listen, steal, run, jump!

So today I work at 11 and until 9. And hopefully Mike is coming over after that which is good stuff. I bet James and Kim will also - I love them, by the way. I love Mike as well. We have sex all the time. Pervert.

Last night Joel, Nathan, Vin, Brian (Skel) and I played music. We've got 4 songs and they are a lot of fun to play. They don't have names and neither do we. I want to be called "The Great Big Cock Explosion," so that will be it I guess. I really enjoy playing music again. And we are all taking it very seriously, which I like. We've got to convince Vin to stick around. After practice we went to Rosecliff and had 1/2 off pizza and a few beers. We dreamed of touring and 'making it'. We are probably the only budding band that talks about stuff like that, sarcastically speaking.

So on the career front, I've pretty much decided to take the assistant position. I figured, why not? I don't have anything else lined up and it is a significant pay jump. I do have a degree, which you can look at two ways. One: don't take it, go somewhere else. Ok, where? Two: take the position, if you don't like it leave - you have a degree. So, yeah. And Emily had a great idea, do you want to hear it? She will take my position at Family House! It is a perfect job for her. Hopefully that works out.

'Going up to Alaska and gonna get off scot fuckin' free'

On the eczema front, her hands are pussing this morning. But she looks so cute. Emily looks cutest when she first wakes up. She came out of the bedroom wearing - nothing! No, a brown shirt, which is one of my favorite colors on her. Next to blue, yellow, red, green, and black - in no order. I love crazy hair and no make up. It looks so damn good.

So, work anyone?

Have I told ya - Have I told YA

Career's are for gays. My meeting with the career advisor, or career specialist, was not bad and not great. As expected. She said if I want to get paid to write I need to look into small newspapers. She said research, outside of grad school and a professorial position, is government related. At least typically. I told her that I would enjoy non-profit and she gave me a lot of information on that. Which was very helpful. Then I go into work and I'm told I can get $30,ooo as an Assistant. That's a big jump for me. Well, not that big, but lucrative. And it would mean another day off a week and no weekends entirely taken. But no more getting paid to sleep or surf the internet.

Now I am off to the world.

What are you a wizard?

This morning I washed Emily's face, put on her bra and deodorant, which was really funny, and attempted to find her a shirt. But I gave up. The one she picked was the one I had in mind. Isn't that cute? Her hands are killing her these days and I don't know when they will ever get better. But in the mean time I get to put on bras - which is ok with me.

In other news, Danielle was terminated yesterday. You know, made redundant. It's for the best all around I'm sure. She needed to get out of CVS and we needed her out of there too. Now we have this other manager whom I always liked. So things are going to be good for a bit.

On wednesday morning I have an appointment with a career advisor at PITT. I had been talking about doing this for awhile. I don't know how productive it will be, but I've got to do something. Wouldn't it be so sweet if I could get a job doing research? Or writing? How though? That's the thing.

Today I work until 9. Want to do something after? Me too.

Big News, starring links.

"I got cheese all over my fingers"

i) Danny "Bustass" McBride will star as a karate instructor in the up and coming The Foot Fist Way, by Jody Hill. He apparently does a lot of improv. Can you believe this or even imagine how funny it's going to be? I have got to find a way to see this when it comes out.

ii) Paul Schneider AND Zooey Deschanel co-star in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," which is a book by Ron Hansen. It looks like a western. ?

iii) David Gordon Green AND Danny McBride co-wrote this nascar-comedy called "The Bubba Stewart Story." I can't even imagine how good this will be. Though DGG is not directing. And nascar? Sunoco gas?

iv) I found out that Eat My Dust!, this kitschy movie starring Ron Howard that Em bought Joel, inspired DGG to write Undertow. Well, he at least sited it as one of his sources.

v) DGG wrote the script for Nerd Camp, which makes me think of the Ernest series. And I therefore think he has lost it. But I will see it anyway.

vi) DGG adapted Goat for film, which is based off a memoir about fraternity hazing. I actually don't care too much about this one.

vii) And this just looks good. The director is somehow connected to DGG.

as promised

BLORGING

First I read some Tolstoy, then I made a list of editorials I wanted to read from the last month. Dude, then I read them! The first one I read was about Spirit Photography, where photographers used very juvenile photo tricks to great effect: the living shared the frame with the dead. This picture is an "anti-spirit" self-portrait, which I thought was interesting. E. Buguet, having admitted to the fradulent practice of his darkroom manipulation, began taking photos that mocked Spirit Photography. There's something about a guy using simple photographer's tricks to first woo the public, as a medium would, and then mock them ostentatiously that fascinates me. Usually people go one way or the other, but both? It says a lot about our culture now, let alone the late 19th century.

I also read an article on Peter Viereck, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, and the first conservative. I didn't know it, but Bush and his cronies are considered Neo-Conservatives (or NeoCons). One thing I really liked about this guy is this comment he made on realism (Realism?): "Reality is that which, when you don't believe in it, doesn't go away." Not sure I agree, but it has a certain ring to it. A ring of what, I don't know. At the time he said he was a conservative, 1940, the word had bad connotations. He gave the word a good connotation, at least for a bit. Conservative coincided with reactionary. Which is hard to imagine. But among my friends, and among most of the people to which I acquiesce, the word is very reactionary. I think it was the same for Viereck. This historian put it best: "They [people like Viereck] are uncomfortable with democracy, if democracy means majority rule. They think majorities are mostly wrong. They're happiest when they are being denounced. They know they must be right then." I guess it's best to consider him the first liberal who considered himself a conservative.

Read about the comedian Sarah Silverman, whom you may remember as the girlfriend of Jack Black's roommate in 'School of Rock'. Which reminds me that I want to see this. Here's one thing I laughed pretty hard about. I mean, I was cracking up. "'Everybody blames the Jews for killing Christ. And then the Jews try to pass it off on the Romans. I'm one of the few people who believe it was the blacks.'" Everything she says is offensive and funny. So she's at least in the right field.

What else did I learn - do you want to know? That Noah Webster, the star of "An American Dictionary of the English Language, " was a hater. No joke. Here's his definition of people:
People, n...
2. The vulgar; the mass of illiterate persons.
I would have said humans, you know - everybody. But to each his own, I guess. Here's what I took from the article. The slave revolts, like Amistad and Madison Washington, were instrumental in getting the gag rule, which I didn't even know about, voted down. The gag rule prohibited any member of the house from discussing slavery, either for or against, but mainly for those against. With the slave revolts some 7,000 members of the house had the courage to speak up, in a sense. That's not entirely uninteresting.

Next I read an article called "Breaking Ranks" about Brent Scowcroft, a sobering realist in the line of Viereck who is opposed to Bush but 'crazy about' his father. That's right, those are his words. I'm not sure what he does now, but during the first Bush Administration he was the foreign-policies expert, like Condeleeza Rice is supposedly today. He believes the US must act out of self-interest and never out of strict concern for morals. E.g. he winces at Bush's phrase 'evildoers' and 'axis of evil.' A couple of years ago, I would have disagreed with him on principle. Basically, and he's obviously right, he says, "'There are a lot of places in the world where injustice is taking place, and we can't run around and fix all of them.'" Are we naive enough to think the US ever actually acts out of sympathy or altruistically? There is one supposed recent example: the US involvement in Somalia during the first Bush Admin, when we sent troops over to feed starving civilians. The truth is we wanted to appear humanitarian because of accusations that the US was acting out of self-interest. In essence, as Scowcroft put it, "'The United States acted selflessly out of self-interest.'" That sounds about right.
I read "The Children" by William Trevor about the remarriage of a father to his daughter's best -friend's mother, after his wife dies. (Did you follow that? Try harder) They end up not remarrying because the girl whose mother died needed to cherish the memory of her mum. It wasn't a bad story, I guess. I was just so subtle. It opened with a nice picture though. I'll post one of her pictures above, if you're lucky.
I also learned that Hemingway had a huge penis, though that was only an aside in a rather boring article entitled, "The Spanish Prisoner: When Hemingway and Dos Passos went to war." How did I learn that Hemingway had a huge penis? One of his women, Martha Gellhorn, had vaginoplasty to stretch herself out. And here I thought vaginoplasty involved gender modification. Silly. Anyway, it was about the Spanish Civil War, which I knew, and still do not know, anything about. Russia? Franco? Class War? Ballsacky?
Next up: food!

when art and math collide, like space ships

You've got to check this Architect out, if you haven't yet. I like the bridge that looks like a harp and the building in Malmo that twists. Also his idea for the apartment tower in New York is incredible, albeit a little precarious.
Go look!

...they ROT!

I actually did it - here's the proof. Nico can't even believe it. Click me for the full view. That was Wednesday. I also played some music with Joel, Nathan, and VinE. We have about three songs and another following suit, courtesy of Joel. Skel is going to play guitar, which should be good times. I don't know him, but Nathan does - and I know Nathan. If you catch my drift. Pervert. Today I worked reeaalll early, but got out of there at noon. Just in time for this showdown at the bottom of the canyon. It was over a lass. I came out unscathed, with a chip on my shoulder. All in all it was a good row.

Today I rot. Until 5, then I rock. On the skins. Yesterday I bought wire brushes, felt pads for the cymbal and a new pair of sticks. I think I'll bust 'em out tonight. Give 'em a whirl. I don't feel too good and am at a loss for anything worthwhile to speak of. So, I'm going to go. But first I will say that last night's dinner was wonderful. Now I will go.

Oh, and where is Mike? I miss him.

narcissism is the new modesty

My tattoo gets finished today. What if I go in and it's not how I envisioned it? Then I'll have to wait, or worse, come back another day. I hate waiting. I hate having a tattoo that is half done. I hate the songs Em is playing on iTunes. And my hands smell like girly lotion, which I hate (Oi Brent!).

Today I will kick ass for almost the whole day. You're welcome to join me, I guess. mmm, better not actually.

BOO-YAH!

I've decided that Rodney Dangerfield is Josh and Josh is Rodney Dangerfield. They both care about respect and both were in movies where they have tons of money and are champion divers. At least I know the first thing is true. There is so much to say about Josh and what has happened but I don't have the energy. He basically has said he doesn't care about me, that respect (and alcohol) is more important. Even though he shows no respect for anyone. I mean none. Not any. "Hey, I tell ya', I get no respect." (Audience laughs) Josh texted me yesterday with this: "Hey ill get myself under control and chill w the booz if u still wana play music that guy just set me off and i didnt wana go out like a bitch but i left and didnt bust bobs shit how am i gona throw it 20 mins after i bounce yea i wanted 2 fight but he came at me w 5 dudes n was all proud" That was two texts. Then I replied: "no we cant have u in the band. theres just no way. youve hurt me far too much" To which he replied: "Well man thats 2 bad but im not taking shit even if it is your friend just as i wouldnt expect u 2 let my friend or his brother talk shit 2 u 4 touching a light" I like that he acknowledges the fact that the situation was over a light, but fails to notice that he was the one, not anyone else, who blew the situation out of proportion. Aaron and his brother were only on the defensive. Oh, and I liked how he said he was sorry. "Hey, my wife, yea, she don't give me no respect" (Audience claps). It's sort of like picturing your worst enemy as a baby in diapers. Only it's Rodney Dangerfield and he's on stage saying shit like, "Hey, I gets a no respect-a." Oh wait, that's Gene Parmesan - my bad.

So today I work at 5 and work until 3 or so - AM! But I don't mind. Tomorrow I am supposed to be getting my tattoo, but Dan has not emailed me his work so I bet it won't happen. Right now I am antsy and want to go get groceries and laundry detergent - I still didn't get that (see post "Jason, you blowhard!").

Today is November 1st and I don't know how I feel about that. But I do know how I feel about Raisin Nut Bran so I might as well go and get some.
