I am making a mix of music. This mix has been predetermined by the friend to whom it is going. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of this mix. Although it is difficult to find music that I both listen to right now and that fits this friend's criteria. So there's some old stuff. One I've never listened to but like. I mean it's OK for boy's sake!

Last night Joel and I watched "Fargo." On Thursday night I saw "No Country for Old Men." When Fargo came out in like '96 it was hailed as a masterpiece. Siskel and Ebert wrote, "I love this bogacki movie made by the Coil Brothers!" Well, it was hailed by someone. I think Roper and Trapabumbledore (this is who Roper was with before he poisoned Siskel while reading Lemony Snicket's before it came out) really dug it. Ok, so here's my point: No Country is their masterpiece. Without a doubt. It is the definition of cinema. And I got to see a full trailer for "There Will Be Blood," which looks to me like P.T. Anderson's masterpiece.

Things are on the up n up here boss.

And I got sucked into a daze on Wednesday night at Just Kidding's house (J/K. Get it?) I didn't come out of the dastardly daze until sometime into Thursday, which is a Thanksgiving day. That's the main reason I have little friends. Well I also have a growth. I mean I'm too tall. Too tall.

Oh, and one thing Joel noticed and I agree with. The Coen Brothers recycle the briefcase Buscemi buries in Fargo. Don't go digging for it is what I mean. The Coens, they have it.

And another thing concerning No Country. If you are not a Coen fan - you will still like this movie. And if you are, well you know the rest.

I am tall and fast.

Hot in 'ere

Phew, it is getting hot in here. I might have to take off all of my clothes.
I agree, I too am going to take my clothesies off. (repeat)

The river goes this way...and THAT way.

I feel a little ashamed to say it. I feel a person should always be modest, you know. But I also feel a person should be honest. I'm revealing my moral code, a step at a time. That's what this blog is all about, not about telling Dumb* half-true stories. But getting back to what I feel ashamed to say. I recently read my writing blog, 'like the whole thing'^, and I was really into it. I mean, I think I have some really good stories. Feigning modesty would be more appropriate, but honesty is higher on the scale. The topper is selfish gain, and vain conceit. And 'I've got this thing I consider my only art of fucking people over'. Anyway, if anyone is reading this who has a vast landscape of money and would like give me a piece of the land (elbow nudge), go ahead. See if I care (pronounced to rhyme with 'here').
WHAT'S A RAVE?
I am listening to "Shepherd's Dog" by Iron and his Wines. You should listen to this too! It's perfect, not purr-fect. I'm not a lunatic.

Something I've been doing a lot of recently is tracing. It is almost completely satisfying. I just quickly draw exactly every line that I see through the paper and it always (always) looks good. I can use pen, it doesn't matter - it will look like I have a real talent. It would be completely satisfying, of course, if I didn't need the tracing paper. But I enjoy it nonetheless. And I'll tell you something else, you little shits, one day I want to envision a piece of tracing paper over what I want to draw and I want to draw as freely as I would if I could actually trace the picture. And I think someday I will get to this place. Do you see what I'm getting at. It's code, of course. About a sort-of bank robbery. But you have to do that bank robbery in 108 minutes. For eternity. Or else, the cops will throw you in the pen. It's a puzzle with pans.

I checked out an old friend and found a new one. I love my new friend.

Today, this cold gray day, is my first day off in years. That's the feeling. The truth is it's my first day off since Saturday, which isn't nearly as devastating. One thing I have to do today is cover each window with plastic, which happens to be my least favorite thing to do aside from a lot of other things, I'm sure. And you're sure too, if you know me. You're lucky. If you know me.

Wrapping the windows. I also have to bleed the radiators too. Which, I know what you're thinking, is not the simple process whereby an appendaged man or woman turns a key on a water radiator to release air. It is the process whereby followers of Christ celebrate said-event. I am merely trying to cultivate my new literary style of Dumb. By God it is catching on, even here in Coppice Slopes.

This is my drum student!
