Hello. I'm here and I ate too much. Listening to a shuffle. Emily and I are having a sleep over in the living room because it's the most fun. And we are going to watch a fun movie. We have fun. We are a couple that has 'fun'. *elbow nudge* I love you blog but I haven't a thing to say of value. Except this: today I was accosted by a malcontent in the gutter. He was first impressed by my shoes and then unimpressed by my step. I told him I was sorry. I merely thought he was a stepping stone. He accosted me for five hours. And then I made like a pedestrian and got really bored by all of his accosting. Of course, he made me late for work. And he made me crack up all over the sidewalk. And I broke his mother's back. whew.
I played some music last night at my sister's 16th birthday and it was a good old time. All of my sister's friends stayed in this other room instead of watching us, but that was ok. My parents, extended family and Emily, Teresa, James and Nathan and Brian's friend Josh did watch us. Did that make sense? Now I must get ready for work. I'd like to say more, honestly, but I haven't the time because I woke up later than I wanted. And I keep typing these long sentences that do not seem to end until it's hard to remember what it is I was saying at the beginning of the sentence.

Merry (belated) Christmas!
Christmas was a good time. Many gifts, much food, many laughs, a bunch of crazy fools. And I just finished Norwegian Wood. Man, do I recommend this book. But it's a sad one. Deeply. Which stays with you longer. I mean stays with me longer. I'm stil tired. Will I ever feel refreshed? Exercise, you say? Ha!

Merry Christmas Fun!

Today's events:
i) Wrap a few things.
ii) Read more of this lovely book.
iii) Go to work, be there until 6ish.
iv) Go to church and feel a little awkward.
v) Go to my Grandparents and feel a little bit less awkward.
vi) Go to Emily's house and feel even less awkward (at this point I'd call this my everyday existence, which is only a little, little bit awkward).
vii) Come home and watch the 2nd disc of Lord of the Rings, while Emily wraps my presents all night.
viii) Wait for this guy, who is really this 'guy'. So long as you know I do not actually believe in St. Nick.
Only 24 more hours until Christmas morning. Even less if you're crazy.

Oh, Gandalf!

I do not work today. Did you hear what I said?!? Of course not, I typed that. You only read it. But I am going to go in for about two or three hours and do some hands-on work. You know what I mean? Emily is a little crank this morning. Everything is mah and eh. So I farted on her and got out of bed. I had a pop tart. It is snowing. Nico is doing strange things and is not aware of it. I think I am going to watch the Lord of the Rings. And I think I will watch the first one. "Gandalf!" Tonight we see 'Narnia'. Or as I like to call it, "Chronicles." Which is like my tendency to call the remote 'the controller'. I haven't been around lately. I am always one step away from sleep. 'm sorry. Maybe we could hang out in the morning sometime? That's when I'm not so out-of-it. I love you all and need you, even when it seems like I don't. It's just that I'm tired. (And I'm in love with my sleeping bag)

Listen lady, the f-ing soiled linen room is on the f-ing lower level, just one f-ing floor down, so get off my c-c-case!
Good morning. I am at Family House - for the last time. I came here this morning to find out I did not have a room. I was so very pleased. And the people in my room have flooded the toilet. They are checking out now. Let me just say that I had to tell this lady five times that she is to take the laundry bag one floor down to the soiled linen room before she understood what I meant. Now I said that same thing, more-or-less, all five times. "The laundry bag goes to the soiled linen room just one flooor down." The first time she said, "I don't know where that is." The second time and third time she just stared at me. The fourth time I simply said, very slowly, "Soiled Linen Room." And she said, "So the first floor?" "No, it's just one floor down in the Soiled Linen Room." "So do I take the elevator?" "Sure, that would be fine." Then I got up, here's where the story gets good, I walked over to her just as she was about to walk into the elevator and said, "Going Down?" and sliced her throat. Ok, ok - just kidding. hahahaahaha Just kidding.
She deserved it. This made-up story is her payback. She deserved it.
This weekend I have no plans, except to eat. Beth, this job is all yours. Soiled linen women and all.

Kitty Cat Powers
I will tell you as much as I can and/or want. First off this is my 101st post which makes me think of the way Bilbo say 'one-hundred-and-eleventh-birthday', which also reminds me that I need to see all of those movies right now. Ok, so that's the first thing. Second thing is that I wrapped presents tonight, all of them except two and only because one is pretty big and would look better in a bag, and the other is a stocking stuffer. Speaking of which, two nights ago I had to make this stocking stuffer endcap, you better know what an endcap is, and decided it was beneficial to make these little tags that read "* STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS *". I made it on this machine. Anyway, Ryan got a hold of it and made a tag that read, " JASON LOVES THE COCK" - which I thought was pretty funny, but didn't want him to know that, which he did anyway. I found one outside the back door today that said "DRINK APPLE JUICE CAUSE OJ WILL KILL YOU", which is just genius. Apparently that is a t-shirt you can buy. FOR FIFTY BUCKS! So that's the second and third thing. The fourth is that I did dishes, the fifth that I balanced the check book and the sixth, in case you didn't realize, is that I am happily married to a sweet lass. But just because I am married doesn't mean I can't have crushes on unattainable women.

anchovy pizza times
It's a new movie starring Mike, Kim, James, their new place, Brian Regan, Vocelli's Pizza, and Aaron. Guest starring Dane Cook, Soft Core Porn, Cherry Coke, and Anchovy. Just kidding. The actual movie is a comedy starring Joey from Friends. Joey from Friends is an out-of-luck pizza shop owner who goes bankrupt only to start his own newspaper: Anchovy Pizza Times. It's actually not that good. Go figure. So as you probably gathered I worked today until about 6, Mike came over around 6:45, we talked a bit, then went over to James and Kim's for pizza times starring Anchovy the Salty. Weird. That's all I will say about anchovies. Aaron came over around 10 and we watched some comedy about pear-grenades and Goober Grape, starring Brian Regan and Dane Cook, the silly bitch. But you already knew that because it's what I said in the first paragraph. Also, although it was incredibly out-of-the-ordinary, Mike and I talked about and quoted Bustass the whole ride back. Say what you want, but Mike and I have a very unpredictable friendship. Speaking of which, I am never sarcastic.
Now I must to sleep and so much. Thank you.

In which I make no sense - whatsoever.
I take it back, no I take it off. I take it off and I take it up - with the person's person. I take it and I take it, only to take it. Don't shake it, you might break it. Shake it you might just break it. Break it and sell it. Sell it. Don't sell it like you mean it. Sell it like you sell it. Mean it. I mean to be mean and sell it. Only I buy it. I bought it. It hurt - I mean it hurts. Hurt to be hurt. Loved to be loved. And it hurts.

AA (anxiety attack)
Tonight, I was supposed to lay down the drums for this song Joel, Nathan, and Vin recently recorded. But I couldn't do it. And thinking about trying to do it again tomorrow night makes me depressed. I cannot play drums for that song. Not because it is difficult - it is actually incredibly easy. The problem is that anything I play, I mean anything, sounds abrasive. It's very hard to play well when you a) Do not think you should; b) What you are playing sounds completely awful; c) Do not know what would sound good or better; d)Believe that the rest of the band wants you to play a beat, but you don't know what that beat is exactly and what you think it is they have in mind - which varies greatly from person to person - you hate. Here it is: this song sounds better without drums. That's the truth, but I guess it would be pretty boring at shows - to just sit there. I could add in a hi-hat every so often, some cymbals. (For reference, listen to "Stations" by Denison Witmer. First listen to the Joy and Sorrow version, then listen to the Philadelphia Songs version. Notice that the former version sounds god awful, very hokey and cheesy. And guess why? The drums! The other version, the latter version if you will, sounds a lot better and the only difference is the lack of drums. I'm a genius.)
Anyway, you probably have no idea what I'm going on about but it's a real crisis for me, and I feel very anxious, and I will, honestly and most certainly, lose sleep over it. That's just how I am. And you wonder why I smoke.

Big Keith
Last night James, Kim, Joel, Em, and I watched the above movie - CQ, by Roman Coppola. (Beth and Mike couldn't make it because they were too busy being ASSHOLES! Just joking guys). I think I liked it a lot more the first time through. It is a very strange movie. But not bad and certainly worth your time. I just ate some Raisin Nut Bran and in about ten minutes must be off for work. I've decided to read A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway. I like the part in Fight Club when they name Hemingway as someone famous, alive or dead, they would like to fight. He is hard to read because his style is so sparse. It is vastly different from everyone else and therefore I find myself going over the same sentences again and again. Even though you would think sparse would be easier, it's not for me. "Not for me" - Big Keith. I'm off. I work until 5 and then I'm "free...free ballin'".Sunday, December 04, 2005
much the

I've done it! I have finished Anna Karenina. I enjoyed it, but am glad to be done with it. Such a long novel - the longest I've ever read. It took me a little over three months. (Proof. ) Anna was such a pitiful character. The contrast between her and Levin is an interesting one. Anna was brought low, literally, by inifdelity - Levin exalted be fidelity. There's more to both of these outcomes, but I'd hate to give anything away just in case any of you want to read it. Levin's conversion was very realistically depicted and somewhat sound, as sound as a religion conversion can be. He came to a belief in God by accepting that he already believed. Kind of strange, but relatable.
Today I had a reuben from Arby's - highly recommended. And read a few articles: one on the first thriller - "The Battle of Dorking" (I actually only read a little of this one) - another on Stephen Colbert's spinoff, and another on The Gorillaz. I like to keep track of what I read, as you can tell. Or, as you might think, show off. Well to each his own.
Thanks to boingboing I came across a fantastic blog - Happy Palace. Go to it via my 'clicks'. It is pretty addictive. List-people beware. Unless you've alotted a significant amount of time on your daily list for browsing.
Tonight I get out of here at 9. I guess I'd be up for something. Although if it's at my apartment I might sleep. And I want to see James and Kim's new place very much the.

Speaking of driving

Levin is happy. That's what is happening in Anna Karenin, if you must know. And only 120 pages to go. Unlike most weekends I have already begun reading. I usually get lost on the internet for more than half my day saturday and then take a nap and/or attempt to read. I get to take naps at work - how sweet is that?
Speaking of sleep, I think that my dreams are accompanied by music because I always wake up with a song in my head. And it's usually a song I have not heard in awhile. This morning I had an Arcade Fire song stuck in my head. A lot of mornings I wake up with "splish splash I was taking a bath..." stuck in my head. Which, of course, makes me feel really awkward. But I rarely remember what my dreams were about. Just the music sticks.
Speaking of music, last night I played some with the fellas. Our songs are really coming together. I think that some of the harmonies need work, but that's about it. We just need a name and it will feel like the real deal. That's it: The Real Deal. Ha!
Speaking of band names, here's an awesome one: Magic and Wonder. Just picture it written in the Harry Potter font over a purple backdrop with yellow stars. That is definitely it. No doubt. Oh shit, there it is: No Doubt.
Speaking of comedy, I have a funny joke for you: What surface has a stapler, a tape dispenser, a phone and a computer on it? My desk at Family House! LOL
Speaking of my sister Ashley, she turns 16 in 25 days. Look for her on the road.

trabajar

I just woke up and have got to go off to work soon. Going along with Beth's blog I also had Quiznos and was not pleased. Why? Because it was either too much food (my fault) or made with shit (their fault). So I guess it was...both. Because why would too much make you sick for the whole night. Is everyone sick on Thanksgiving? I don't think so. And if you do 'think' so I will fight you with my fist. No joke. This is serious. Sirius Black.
Not much to say. GOB's song keeps playing in my head: "The Final Countdown!" (and then the music). The picture is from "High Tension," which is the movie we watched last night. It was ok. But something else would have been better. Like one of the early Mary Kate and Ashley movies - maybe the one where they're on a ranch.
